Cut by hand, by incredible craftsmen over 150 years ago, Antique Old Cut Diamonds are rare and beautiful. Each stone was cut with great skill to enhance the sparkle emanating from the diamond. They were designed to dazzle, even in low candlelight, with huge flashes of colourful fire. With the modern lighting we have today, the rich, deep sparkle of an Old Cut Diamond sets itself apart from its modern lazer cut decendants.
Each Antique stone has its own personality and was cut according to the shape and size of the raw diamond crystal. Matching pairs are rare and even diamonds considered to be low on todays colour scale will put on an incredible show. Stones with natural inclusions which may have be written off in modern times were cut to sparkle to their best potential. Antique Diamonds are just like us, never perfect but always beautiful.
We focus our efforts on finding fine jewellery including these wondrous diamonds and bring them together into a curated collection for vintage jewellery enthusiasts. We rehome pieces that have been neglected in dusty jewellery boxes, so we can reuse, repurpose and recycle wonderful vintage antique jewels. We are a sustainable business to our heart.
