Why we love it…
This Crescent Moon brooch is set with beautiful Antique Paste gemstones and was likely produced around the turn of the 20th Century. This striking design rose to popularity in the Victorian era and is rich with symbolism. The crescent moon was a popular symbol in Victorian jewellery, where it was used to celebrate the moon as a goddess and embrace female empowerment. Queen Alexandra of Denmark, Princess of Wales, was known to wear many star and crescent moon brooches. This piece would make a truly special gift. It is set in Silver and stamped 900 to the reverse.
